My Belly Button Can Explode

I was thinking about what to post today and I remembered something I thought of as a little kid and thought I would share.
If you look at your belly button or inside it (if you have an innie), it kind of looks like the tie of a ballon.
I have a birth mark on the inside of my bellybutton and didn't want it to be there, so I picked at it. Of course it didn't go away and it freaking hurt. That's when I released that it looked like the part of a ballon that holds it together.
I was a very imaginative child, and that led my mind to wander into thinking that if I poked at my bellybutton it could come apart just like a balloon... guts everywhere!
Im glad I didn't want to pick at my little birth mark any more, but that is a super sick thing for a kid to think. Im like a writer of the Saw movies.
I still don't like touching my bellybutton and I still think it looks or feels like a ballon tie and it creeps me out. Haha.
Now this made me think of something else... whenever I decide to get pregnant then my bellybutton is going to be stretched, like a lot!... and not be able to stand the presser and open. haha. Im a cray.
I always think of weird what if this/what if that... do you do that?

What's something funny/crazy you thought as a kid?

Watermelon Slush

Watermelon and pineapple are my favorite summer treat! I decided to try and turn it into a slush for a great hot summer day drink!
I used frozen watermelon, pineapple, coconut water, and lime juice. Mix it in a blender and serve!
This is so simple and easy to make!
It was pretty sweet, but the lime juice balances it nicely! You could also add in your choice of alcohol for a nice adult cocktail!

What's your favorite summer time treat/drink?

My Road Trip Essentials

Jon and I are talking about doing some fun things over the summer and one of them is a road trip! I was informed of RelayRides road trip campaign and was asked to share my road trip essentials. (Click here to find out more about RelayRides, a peer-to-peer sharing car rental service, great for a road trip!) *Not sponsored* I thought it would be fun to show you my road trip must haves before our trip!

  • Of course, I need my phone! I use it for navigation and music, as well as a camera and for social media!
  • My iPad. It has books, music, games, movies. I can also blog from it!
  • A notebook and pen to write things I want to remember for blogging. I also have a piece of paper sticking out that has places we want to visit on our road trip!
  • My camera! Mostly used for vlogging!
  • Sunglasses, incase it's sunny, especially here in Southern California! Also good to hide tired faces if you have to make a pitstop.
  • I always bring my Snuggie! Even if it's a weekend or overnight trip, it's with me. I love that thing.
  • The last thing I have is a snack... (besides water) my favorite thing right now is Chili Spiced Mango from Trader Joe's.
I also think it will be fun to share a few of my favorite road trip memories!

My favorite vacations I've ever had were on a road trips! When I was younger my family and I traveled from California to Utah with our boat hitched to the back of our car. I saw bears and other wild life. Also crazy thunderstorms we don't get here! We spent some time at the beautiful Powell Lake.

Jon and I got to go on a bit of a road trip ourselves last summer. We traveled a little bit passed San Francisco and explore the city. Seeing and experiencing the differences between Southern and Northern California was so fun!
What are your road trip essentials? What's the best road trip you've ever been on?

Thank you RelayRides for asking me to be apart of your road trip campaign!

Stress Reliever: Journaling

Writing has always helped me so much. I love getting all of my thoughts, feelings, and lists out of my head and on to paper.
I learned when I was young that if I was mad or sad or happy I could write it out and it would make me feel better and I have continued to do so into adulthood.
When I can't sleep at night I will write my todo list or whatever I'm thinking about out and it helps easy me and helps me sleep.
I also write out my workouts and running schedule and goals. It helps so much seeing it all on paper.

This is one way I relieve stress. You can write anything you want and everything out. If you are angry about something or someone, but can't or shouldn't tell them this is a great way to get your feelings out... tell the paper how you really feel!
It really does make you feel better!

Also when you have a lot to do, seeing it on paper helps. You can put steps in order and group tasks together. And many times shows you that your to do list isn't so overwhelming.

Do you journal? What's your favorite stress reliever?

Push-up For Beginners

I wanted to start a push-up challenge for my beginner self. Right now I can only do 5-6 pushups at a time. I am setting the challenge for 15 pushups in a row by May 31! I feel like the pushup challenge pictures that are on Pinterest are a little to much for me right now...

A Look At My Desk

I have been wanting to change up my desk area for a while now. I like to write out most of my posts before I type them up and wanted it to be at my desk near my computer. I am excited that I finally got the transformation started!...

Disneyland Favorites

This week spent a little time in Anaheim. First we went to an Angels Game, that I wrote about yesterday, then we spent some time at the happiest place on earth!

I have been to Disneyland/ California Adventure hundreds of times. There are things I can skip and then there are must dos. Here are some of my favorites!

Angels

This past week Jon and I went to an Angels game with some people from the base he works at. I was super surprised when Mr. Los Angeles AKA Dodgers lover for life AKA my husband told me he got tickets for an Angels game. It was a good surprise. I grew up closer to Anaheim than LA and was an Angels fan and went to many games when I was younger. I love the vibe at Angel games. They are laid back and family friendly. The Angels won 7-1!
...We just got iPhone 5s and had a lot of fun with the panorama camera at the game...

May Motivation

I have been slacking so much lately. I have been overwhelmed and had a lot going on. I finally feel good and have many posts lined up and many more ideas. I love blogging, but I'm glad I gave myself time to be away from the internet.

I am trying to organize and design my blog to look the way I want. Also to have awesome/inspiring/pretty/happy posts up regularly. I want to hopefully have my blog the way I want it by Next Monday! My brother is going to take some pictures for me and help me out a bit. Im excited and haven't felt like this about blogging since I started.

I know I can't stick with one topic so I want to write about what makes me happy, so Im officially sticking with wellness/happiness...My Adventures, So Cal, Healthy Recipes, Positivity, Fitness, and Girly are posts that I will be happy and excited to write about.

I also am sticking with a schedule of posting Monday-Thursday and doing YouTube Mondays and Wednesdays. Sometimes the videos will relate to posts and other times they will be on their own. I enjoy doing both YouTube and blogging, so I set up a realistic goal!

Can't wait to start back up Monday and hope you will come back and see my new stuff!
& May is my birthday month, so yay!

What are your plans in May?
