Blogger Thoughts

I haven't been blogging very much lately. There is so much on my mind and I have so many things I want to do with my blog that it's overwhelming. I want to give it a better look and that takes time...

I have been thinking about the direction my blog is going and where I want it to go. Really, right now it’s just a blog with anything and everything in it! I actually kind of like that, but I want to try something new. I want my blog to reflect me and also be fun for the reader.

I think I am going to start doing a "guide to Los Angeles" or Southern California. I am out and about all the time. My husband and I both love exploring new places, going to our favorite spots, and just being out. I know so many great places in the Los Angeles area that I think would be fun and maybe helpful to some. I have a ton of ideas with this.

I also want to do other posts like outfits or recipes. I think I found a way to keep it all in one theme…. Just like SoCal Guide/ Travel theme…

Oh also posts on Fitness in SoCal. Especially running! I can’t not post about running. It’s actually not the most popular thing on my blog, but I love it and want to post about it!

I travel quite a bit, actually I traveled all the time before I was married. It’s my favorite thing to do! I have learned a lot and want to share this part of my life.

I am excited to give this theme a try!

Any suggestions/comments would be great! Thanks so much!!!

What's in my Travel Toiletries Bag

I travel quite a bit, even if it is to my families house every month... So I think I have the packing thing down. I keep a toiletries bag with everything I need in it to just grab and go. I am not super picky about anything except for what I use on my face because I have sensitive skin. I got this bag at Forever 21 for like $7. Such a great deal! Most of the things I got at CVS in travel size.

What's in my Makeup Bag

For this weeks What's in my Wednesday I am showing what's in my makeup bag. I love seeing what others use and thought it would be fun. I have a bit more makeup than this, but this is what I use when I do wear makeup or what I bring when I travel.
I love this makeup bag. I got it as a gift from the Cara Box Exchange (Thanks Victoria). It is bigger than any other makeup bag I own. I can fit so much in it...

Liebster Blog Award

I was nominated a while ago and did the Liebster blog award
Then a while after that Amanda nominated me. Then this past week Temeka nominated me. I wasn't sure if I could or should do it again, but I guess I can, so I am!
I want to thank Amanda and Tameka for nominating me! Go check their awesome blogs out!

What is the Liebster Blog Award/Rules:

The Liebster Award is an award that bloggers give to other bloggers who are smaller/still growing. When you get one, you give it to more people, passing the bloggy honors around. So the rules of this award differ each time you see it, but here they are:

Weekend Wine Tasting

This weekend I was in Temecula at the Miramonte Winery. I had a Groupon Gift from a family member that I used. With the Groupon we got a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses. My parents got the same gift and my brother went as well.

7 Lessons Learned from a Horrible Half Marathon

Only about 2 miles in to 13.1
My last half marathon, which was my second half marathon was miserable. I tried really hard to be positive… I’m one of those people that if Im sick and don’t feel good I can’t hide it. Well I had major allergies during this half marathon and the week before. I was in such a bad mood and it made a huge difference.

Because of my allergies, it was so hard for me to sleep. I maybe slept an hour before I had to wakeup for the race.

Also, (TMI, but) I’ve heard of horror stories of people not being able to control their bladder. And I swear I didn’t go #2 for like a week before the race. I was stressed about it and scared I would poo myself running (I can’t believe Im going to share that… but it’s true. Also thankfully I did not have to go during the race).

It was so hot. The weeks leading up to the race were nice Fall like weather, then on race day it was like a boiling summer day. There were people laying on the floor and being taken away in wheelchairs. I had to stop running completely at 9 miles. I was so drained because of everything that my body was going through. I knew my limits and if I kept going I probably would have ended up like some others.I am glad I got to walk the rest of the way and get my medal though!

I didn’t eat properly the night before or eat anything the morning of the race… What was I thinking?!!! Also I didn’t hydrate properly especially for the hotter weather.

Things I learned from my Half Marathon:

Eating Dinner with Who

I love the question if you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be?

I have several answers...

3 people that are family that are no longer living that I would love to meet or get to know better at dinner would be:
1. My mom's father. He passed away before I was born. I think it would be really cool to get to meet him.
2. My dad's mother. She passed away when I was really young. I think we're a lot a like and would have a lot of fun together.
3. My dad's grandmother. She lived far and I think I only met her once or twice when I was a baby. She lived until she was 101. I think it would be really awesome to get to know her too.

3 famous/well known people that are no longer living that I would have at dinner would be:
Jesus, Walt Disney, and Abraham Lincoln. Those are the three that I thought of right away. I think it would be interesting.

3 famous/well known people that are alive that I would love to have dinner with are:
Betty White, Michelle Obama, and Beyonce. I think that would be pretty cool too. Haha.

I would love to know your answer! If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be?
